Enrichment at Bella Mente Academy

The YMCA of San Diego County's enrichment programming provides a safe environment where children will engage in imaginative play and activities that stretch both mind and body, including physical education, creative arts, science, cooking, swimming and more. Utilizing both indoor and outdoor spaces, students will follow all guidelines for health and safety.

About Our Staff

Joe and Mary Mottino Family YMCA takes pride in hiring the best people to fill our programming staff. Each leader was hand-selected through an extensive hiring process to ensure the safest environment for everyone. Staff training includes CPR and First Aid certification, transportation safety, behavior management and bully prevention, child protection and abuse prevention, field trip and off-site safety procedures, risk management/prevention and more.

ENGINEERING – PRIMARY

Ages: 4-6 | Day/Time: Monday/3:00pm-4:00pm | $75 

Our engineering classes are designed to engage young minds in hands-on activities that explore the fascinating world of engineering. Students will have the opportunity to design, build, and experiment with various projects while learning essential problem-solving skills.

ENGINEERING – LOWER ELEMENTARY

Ages: 5-9 | Day/Time: Wednesday/3:10pm-4:10pm | $75

Our engineering classes are designed to engage young minds in hands-on activities that explore the fascinating world of engineering. Students will have the opportunity to design, build, and experiment with various projects while learning essential problem-solving skills.

ENGINEERING – UPPER ELEMENTARY

Ages: 8-11 | Day/Time: Monday/3:00pm-4:00pm | $75

COOKING – PRIMARY

Our cooking classes provide a fun and educational environment for young chefs to discover the joys of cooking and nutrition. They will learn to prepare delicious recipes, understand food science, and develop a lifelong appreciation for culinary arts.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available to families who qualify. Applications are available at the service desk and online. Assistance is based on verified income and completed applications.
