He knew he wanted to be a doctor, so Efrain Pedroza never understood
why he had to study history and geometry.
But the sophomore from Classical Academy High School in Escondido
knows why now. Efrain, 16, recently returned from the fourth annual YMCA five-day
tour of California
college campuses.
¢âÂÒIf some program shows me the value of studying history and geometry
in high school, it's gotta be good,¢âÂå Efrain said.
