C.A.M.P. stands for Camp Alumni from the Mountains to the Pacific, representing a community that spans across YMCA overnight camps. Whether you spent your summers exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Camp Marston, horseback riding at Raintree Ranch, or catching waves at Camp Surf, this newsletter is tailored exclusively for you, our valued alumni and friends.

WORDS FROM THE DIRECTOR

Dear Alumni & Friends,

The new year has got off to a great start at our overnight camps YMCA Raintree Ranch, YMCA Camp Surf & YMCA Camp Marston with a full schedule of schools set for the spring and summer camp planning well underway. Our focus on adding new camp activities, including our pump track, slide and skate park have been a huge hit for our adventure clubs, schools, and are guaranteed to be a success this summer.

I am excited to introduce a new staff member Brooke Berry, our new Development and Alumni Manager. Brooke is a previous Camp Surf staff member, so she understands the world of overnight camping well. Brooke will be focusing on all thing?s alumni & development, including alumni events/connections, annual campaign, capital improvements and grants. Brooke is already hard at work supporting our board and staff team in achieving our annual campaign goal. The campaign kicked off on January 25 and will wrap up on March 31.

Securing these funds makes certain that all children get to experience life-changing overnight camp experiences regardless of their ability to pay. Over 600 children per year benefit from the generosity of alumni, board members, staff, and the community.

I am excited to share that our overnight camps will be getting camp specific software which includes an alumni registration database. This new system will give us new tools all focused on providing a higher quality customer experience. More to come soon. Stay in touch and reach out anytime!

In the spirit of camp,
Jamie Cosson | Executive Director
