You are invited to join the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA by becoming a
sponsor of Suits From Suits. We hope to replicate the
incredible success of this innovative program used at the YMCA
of Greater Grand Rapids to collect and distribute gently used
swimsuits for boys and girls, ages 5 to 12, so that children will have
the proper swimwear needed to participate in YMCA aquatics programs.

It
is estimated that 33,000* children ages 5-12, who live in the service
area of the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA, have never taken swimming
lessons to develop a healthy respect for the water. And most do not
have proper swimwear. We will see that this week when 340 students from
King-Chavez Schools come to our YMCA for three weeks of swim lessons.

The
Jackie Robinson Family YMCA is encouraging business professionals (aka “Suits”)
throughout the area to participate in Suits From Suits,
either by donating swimsuits or making a $50 contribution that will
provide a child with swimwear, aquatic safety training, swimming
lessons—and a memorable summer. Make checks payable to: Suits

Donated suits
are being collected at the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA. Families
purchasing new swimwear for their children are encouraged to collect and
donate outgrown and unused swimsuits. Financial donations to Suits
