The YMCA of San Diego County is proud to partner with the San Diego Seals. The YMCA and the San Diego Seals understand that it is important for kids to have a variety of opportunities to learn new skills, challenge themselves and make connections with others. The YMCA and San Diego Seals partnership will create opportunity and access for any child or teen who wants to participate in the exciting sport of lacrosse through our weekly YMCA Jr. Seals lacrosse clinics, located at 7 YMCA branches across San Diego County. We are excited to have the San Diego Seals professional lacrosse team train our Y coaches to put on high quality clinics that focus on building self-esteem, friendships and lifting up kids, emotionally and physically, through activities in which they can grow, learn and thrive in their local communities.he Y is excited to partner with the San Diego Seals to bring high-quality lacrosse clinics to the communities we serve. Lacrosse is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country and we are excited to have the San Diego Seals professional lacrosse team train our staff to put on quality clinics for our youth. The San Diego Seals are proud to partner with the YMCA of San Diego county to significantly enhance access to the sport of lacrosse in all communities throughout San Diego County.
ABOUT YMCA JR SEALS LACROSSE CLINICS
Through the YMCA and San Diego Seals partnership, our YMCA Jr. Seals lacrosse clinics will give young athletes an introduction to the exciting game of lacrosse. YMCA staff and volunteer coaches, trained by professionals from the San Diego Seals, will lead engaging lacrosse activities, teach game strategy and facilitate fun scrimmages for all players. These lacrosse clinics will be a noncontact version of lacrosse using a softer ball and protective equipment is not required. Our Ys, with help from the San Diego Seals, will provide lacrosse sticks and equipment during these clinics.
These exciting new youth lacrosse clinics will be hosted at six of our participating branches: Copley-Price Family YMCA, Jackie Robinson Family YMCA, Mission Valley YMCA, Toby Wells YMCA, Rancho Family YMCA and Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA. Be sure to note that prices, dates and ages of participants vary based on the Y.
Thanks to the generous support of the San Diego Seals, our Jr. Seals Lacrosse Clinics will be FREE to participants at our Copley-Price and Jackie Robinson Family YMCA locations.

ABOUT SAN DIEGO SEALS PROFESSIONAL LACROSSE TEAM
The San Diego Seals are a team in the 34-year-old National Lacrosse League (NLL), the world’s only professional box lacrosse league. The league ranks third in average attendance for professional indoor sports worldwide, behind the NBA and NHL. San Diego joined the league in the 2018-19 season. The Seals regular season typically runs from November through April, and the team plays their home games at Pechanga Arena San Diego, the city’s leading destination for sporting events, family shows and live entertainment.
