Y members can take part in the Kaiser Permanente Thrive Half Marathon & 5K, Sunday, October 29, 2017. The race is San Diego's newest half marathon, and Toby Wells Y, located near the brand-new Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center, will serve as race headquarters at the starting line. The half marathon race is billed as fast, with a point-to-point course that travels downhill for the first 3 miles, finishing at Vacation Isle. Look for the Y's water station as you pass by Mission Valley Y on Friars Road! The 5K starts and finishes at Ski Beach.
Race organizers want to encourage San Diego to "Thrive" together as a community and stay active, eat healthy, live well and give back. This is a great opportunity to get race ready at the Y, have some fun and support Make-A-Wish San Diego.
