Adventure Clubs
At Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA
Get ready for unforgettable weekends with your child! Adventure Clubs offer monthly parent-child camping experiences at some of the most scenic spots in Southern California — from beaches and deserts to mountains and lakes. Open to families with kids of various ages (see age groups below), each trip is packed with outdoor fun like hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, pinewood derby races, skits, songs, crafts, bead trading and more.
Adventure Clubs run from September through June (with a break in December), and you’re welcome to join at any time during the season.
This program is all about strengthening the parent-child bond while building lifelong friendships and lasting memories.
Each club includes a mix of activities like games, crafts, songs, stories, ceremonies and service projects — all designed to bring families closer together in a fun, supportive environment you won’t find anywhere else.
Annual Registration for the 2026-2027 Camping Season is open! Please click JOIN below to join your Club for the upcoming camping season!

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
As a mission-driven nonprofit organization, the YMCA is committed to serving our community. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. We can help you pay for membership and programming through the ACCESS Financial Assistance Program.
PATRICK SULLIVAN DREAM CATCHER FUND
The Patrick Sullivan Dream Catcher Fund was created in memory of Patrick Sullivan, a beloved Coyote Club chief who loved camping with his daughter and enjoying the outdoors with other dads. Just like his colorful spirit he shared with everyone around him, Patrick had a true passion for all things tie-dye. The Sullivan Family has generously established this scholarship fund to ensure that no family misses out on the magic of camping due to financial hardship. If your family needs support to attend an upcoming campout, we are here for you. Please contact Tim Stong at tstong@ymcasd.org.
